21 May - Free Day for Students
The Minister of Education and Science, Daniel Valchev, issued an order that 21-st of May 2007 will be a free day for all students in Bulgaria. It is due to the elections of members for the European Parliament from Bulgaria.
The school content, which will be missed, has to be restructured by the teachers.

Education for Democratic Citizenship
The project Education for Democratic Citizenship: From Policies to Effective Practice through Quality Assurance aims at creating a proper methodology and respective tools for assessing the quality of secondary education in the South East European Countries. The second stage will explore the opportunity for creating such QA mechanism to be applied to Civil Education.

Overview of Bulgarian Universities
The Overview of Bulgarian Universities is a project conducted by the Centre for Educational Strategies, Sofia under a contract with the Ministry of Education and Science as a part of the Communication strategy for preparation of the accession of Bulgaria into the European Union. The overview comprises detailed information about 46 higher education institutions and colleges and it is being distributed in Bulgaria in Bulgarian and English on a CD.
